My face cleared out completely after switching back to my old cleanser, will never use this. Cleansers. Maybe try the LRP foaming Cleanser! Interesting! Overall I really love what I'm using now and how my skin feels so I think I'm pretty happy with what I'm using and don't need to explore too much unless new issues arise. It doesn't dry me out or make my skin feel weird after using it like CeraVe would. Alternative to the hydrating cleanser is the more expensive Paula’s Choice Resist cleanser for dry skin. Also it works amazingly as the second round if you're double cleansing with oil. There are so many rave reviews about it, and I love the PM lotion and the daily lotion for my body. The foaming one from CeraVe does great job with taking off makeup, but with the morning routine - I've got a little of a problem - I think it's too harsh, hence the hydrating cleanser. I’ve never heard of it! I went through a bottle of the hydrating cleanser and I loved it. The hydrating cleanser is just that it is more hydrating. It broke me out, and so do the Cerave moisturizers. A body wash doesn’t have to be harsh, and the right gentle cleanser can remove dirt while providing benefits for the skin as well. Obv you can't change it now but just thought I'd say for the future! A while back, the hydrating cleanser was my favorite. hyaluronic acid attracts water—if there's little water in the environment it can draw water out of the skin, leaving it drier than before. This is a lie. Mine is 3/4 gone from 7 months of use. It was like a chemical burn, and I’m not exaggerating! When I use it with my konjac sponge it just looks like I'm buffing my face with runny lotion * cries in dry skin* If I get it on my lips it feels like I just put on chapstick - so strange! That used to be my HG cleanser, but recently I found CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser (the bottle says it’s a new product). I’ve heard the Cerave moisturizing cleanser burns if you have damaged skin, e.g, over exfoliated, very dry, or damaged moisture barrier. It’s definitely a great affordable cleanser though, especially for dehydrated skin. I just use micellar water now. They really are great alternatives for each other since they have a lot in ingredients in common, but enough of a difference so that if one doesn't work or is irritating, the other should get the job done!
